I want to do something different for my Mom’s birthday this year. I usually just buy her some flowers and a gift card somewhere but that is getting old and she is not getting any younger. She is turning 59 this year which in turn makes me feel old myself. She had me when she was a teenager so you can do the math. I know one thing I want to do and that is take us to get psychic readings done. I remember we went years ago and how fun it was and I think she’d enjoy it again. I also want to take her out to a nice dinner. We go out to eat a lot but it is always at the local diner or some fast food kind of place. I want to treat her to a nice steak or seafood dinner for a change. Her birthday isn’t for another two weeks so I have some time to figure out something else to do too.  I just have to do something better than what my sister is doing.  It's residual competition from when we were children.
